Melbourne City Mission supports more than 5,000 people each week, but with 6,000 young people homeless in Melbourne, too many are falling through the gaps. Sleep at the ’G is your chance to raise awareness about homelessness and raise vital funds to support Melbourne City Mission’s life-changing work. This year the annual mass sleepover at the MCG takes place on Thursday 17 May.

13 & 14 June: Kendrick Lamar, Rod Laver Arena.
One of the most critically acclaimed and successful hip hop artists of our time, Kendrick Lamar, announced his Australian tour in support of fourth album DAMN. The 2018 Pulitzer Prize and twelve-time GRAMMY Award winning artist will make his highly anticipated return to our shores in June for a series of arena shows across the country.

22 July: Stadium Stomp, MCG.
If you’re looking for something different for your next fitness challenge, something other than a fun run or bruising obstacle race, look no further than Stadium Stomp MCG.
The MCG is one of the largest stadiums on the planet boasting a seating capacity of 100,024. That’s a lot of seats, which means a lot of stairs. Climb your way up, down and around the bays in this 7,300 stair challenge (short course option also available). There will be rest stops (pick a seat!), drink stations and music playing to keep you focused and pumped.
There are course options for everyone – full course (7,300 steps), short course (1,900 steps) and Junior Stomp (1,900 steps). And for those who want to stomp until they drop – Stomp Unlimited is for you.

2 - 19 August: Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF), various locations.
MIFF is a not-for-profit organisation that has been continuously running since 1952, making it the leading film festival in Australia and one of the world’s oldest film festivals, alongside Cannes and Berlin. Presenting a curated global program of innovative screen experiences and the world’s largest showcase of exceptional Australian filmmaking, MIFF is an accessible, iconic cultural event that provides transformative experiences for audiences and filmmakers alike.
MIFF is an Australian cultural icon which has had an essential role in putting Melbourne on the national and international cultural map. It has also been a key player in building a sense of community and connectedness in Melbourne.

12 August: Field of Women, MCG.
In 2018, it is estimated that 18,235 Australians will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Breast Cancer Network Australia’s aim is to have this number represented by women, men and children standing together in the shape of BCNA’s Pink Lady on Sunday 12 August at the MCG, prior to the Round 21 AFL match between Melbourne and the Sydney Swans.
Everyone is invited to participate. As well as raising awareness by bringing breast cancer statistics to life, Field of Women also reminds women, men and families affected by breast cancer they are not alone.
Proceeds from Field of Women ticket sales will help BCNA continue their vital work in providing resources, programs and services to Australians affected by breast cancer. Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity to stand on the ‘G with thousands of others.
